Who is it for?
Fit for Life is for the majority of people out there who simply want to
"tone up, lose weight and get a bit fitter".
The reasons for this are many and varied, but include:
Why is it important?
Having a healthier, stronger and fitter body is important to us all. On a practical level, it means we are able to do our jobs and hobbies better. On an aesthetic level, we feel better and happier if we look better and healthier.
Everybody is an individual and has their own reasons for improving their health and fitness. Some common ones are to "tone up, lose weight and get a bit fitter".

To lose weight, you need a calorie controlled, healthy diet (see our "Introduction to How to Lose Weight"). |
To get a bit fitter, you need to get out of breath for at least 30 minutes, more often than you do currently (see our “Introduction to Getting Fitter”) |
To tone up, you need to use your bodies muscles more than you do currently (see our "Weight Training" guide). |
